A scam may develop through ordinary conversation before introducing travel costs, an emergency or an investment opportunity. The story can change, while the demand for money remains.
Make room for an outside perspective
A person under pressure may need patient support rather than a confrontation. If you are helping someone, focus on the financial request and offer to review it together. This is a communication suggestion, not a test that diagnoses every relationship.
If money or identity information was shared
Stop further payments and contact the payment provider through its official route. Keep profiles, messages and transaction records. Do not pay a new fee to someone promising that they can recover the loss.
