    Who We Help · Caregivers

Help a parent handle suspicious calls and messages

An adult child or caregiver can make scam verification easier without taking away a parent’s independence. Agree on how to pause, confirm a request, and ask for a second opinion before pressure arrives.

    Respectful support

Build a response plan with your parent

A useful plan makes it easier to stop an urgent request while keeping the parent involved in every decision. Start with the situation, not assumptions about someone’s ability.

    Use a separate channel

Call the relative, bank, Medicare, or other organization using contact details you already trust—not details supplied by the unexpected caller or message.

    Act quickly after a loss

Contact the bank or payment provider, preserve records, secure affected accounts, and report the incident promptly.

    Report fraud to the FTC

    Report internet-enabled crime

The FBI Internet Crime Complaint Center accepts reports about internet-enabled fraud and related cybercrime.

    Where ZoraSafe fits

A parent can check a concern and choose support

ZoraSafe supports a specific verification moment. The parent can use Ask Zora directly and decide whether to share a concern with a trusted person.

    A parent-led workflow

    1. 1The parent pauses the call, message, link, QR code, or request.
    2. 2They send or describe only what they want Ask Zora to check.
    3. 3They review the explanation and practical next steps.
    4. 4They verify independently or choose to involve a trusted person.

    Support boundaries

    Help without surveillance

Respectful support creates a reliable way to ask for help. It does not require continuous visibility into a parent’s phone or decisions.

    Keep the parent in control

Ask what kind of help is wanted. Explain options clearly and leave room for the parent to choose the next step.

    See the Older Adults page

    Know the product boundary

ZoraSafe does not promise live caregiver monitoring, control of another person’s phone, or guaranteed detection of every scam.
