Call and Text Protection: Checks, Warnings and Limits

ZoraSafe helps you check suspicious calls and messages. User-initiated checks and supported device warnings are different layers of protection.

    Checks you choose to make

Use Ask Zora to describe a call, check a number or share suspicious message content, links or images. Checking does not require trusting the sender or opening the link they sent.

You remain responsible for the decision. Caller ID, familiar branding and a convincing voice do not establish identity.

    Supported warnings and platform differences

ZoraSafe is available for iPhone and Android. Some supported protections can warn automatically when the required iPhone capability is enabled. Availability depends on the device, OS permissions and enabled features.

Do not assume Android has the same automatic protections, that all calls are screened, or that ZoraSafe reads every conversation. Message checks do not automatically delete texts or give the app unrestricted control over communications. Follow the setup instructions shown in your version.

    What to do when warned

    1. Do not respond, pay or share a verification code while under pressure.
    2. End the call or leave the message. Open the organization’s app yourself or use a saved, trusted number.
    3. Use Ask Zora for context, then verify important claims independently.
    4. If you already acted, follow the recovery steps for the information or payment involved.

A warning is not a verdict

A warning can be incomplete or mistaken, and a missing warning does not make a request safe. ZoraSafe does not guarantee detection or prevent every fraudulent transaction.
